Aruba is a year-round destination, but the most popular time to visit is between November and April, during the dry season. This is also peak tourist season, meaning prices are higher.

For a more budget-friendly honeymoon, consider visiting between May and October, when hotel rates drop but the weather remains beautiful. Aruba is located outside the hurricane belt, so it sees fewer storms than most other Caribbean destinations.

We found the prices for everything on the island resembled similar pricing to the USA – however, we’re from California, so we’re used to slightly higher prices for food and gas.

Here’s a quick packing list for a stress-free honeymoon:

✅ Snorkeling gear – Aruba has incredible snorkeling spots right off the coast. For ultimate flexibility, we’d recommend bringing your own gear! However, you can also rent it from outfitters on the island or most tours will provide it for you if you go that route.
✅ Water shoes – Some beaches have rocky areas, so protect your feet.
✅ Bug repellent – There aren’t many mosquitoes, but it’s best to be prepared.
✅ Reusable water bottle – Aruba has clean, drinkable tap water—no need to buy bottled water!

At Queen Beatrix International Airport, you’ll find plenty of well-known car rental agencies, including:

• Amigo Car Rental – Known for its great customer service and reliable vehicles.
• Top Drive Aruba – Offers a variety of cars, from compact vehicles to Jeeps for off-road adventures.
• Budget, Hertz, National & Avis – Standard international rental options with competitive pricing.

If you plan on visiting Arikok National Park on your own, renting a 4×4 or Jeep is highly recommended, as some roads are unpaved and rough. Otherwise, you don’t really need an off-roading vehicle for the rest of your stay.

The Best 5 Day Aruba Honeymoon Itinerary

Day 1: Arriving in Aruba and Sunset at Eagle Beach

Check-In at a Beachfront Resort

For an unforgettable honeymoon, staying at a beachfront resort is a must. We stayed at Divi & Tamarijn Aruba, a beautiful all-inclusive resort with oceanfront rooms, multiple pools, and incredible dining options.

Other great honeymoon resort options include:

• Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort – A luxury adults-only resort known for its romantic ambiance.
• The Ritz-Carlton Aruba – A high-end option with five-star service and top-tier amenities.
• Boardwalk Boutique Hotel – A charming, intimate hotel just steps from Palm Beach.

We LOVED our stay at the Divi & Tamarijn – we stayed on the Divi side which was a bit more expensive but also more elevated compared to the Tamarijn side. The rooms were super spacious, the staff was incredible, and the food for an all-inclusive hotel was really good. We would highly recommend making your reservations for their specialty restaurants immediately upon checking in at the hotel. Another perk of this particular hotel was its central location to most of the activities in this itinerary!

Sunset at Eagle Beach

Eagle Beach is Aruba’s most famous and breathtaking beach, known for its soft white sand and iconic Divi Divi trees. Watching the sunset here is the perfect way to start your honeymoon.

If you want a quiet experience, arrive before sunset to find a cozy spot. For a more romantic touch, bring a blanket and enjoy a beachside picnic. We would highly recommend getting there about an hour beforehand to find a good spot to watch since the beach does get a little bit busy.

Dinner: Lima Bistro

For your first dinner in Aruba, Lima Bistro offers an intimate, romantic setting with a Peruvian-inspired menu featuring fresh seafood, ceviche, and expertly crafted cocktails. Located in downtown Oranjestad, it’s a perfect way to celebrate the beginning of your honeymoon.

Day 2: Adventure and Water Activities

Jet Skiing at Palm Beach

Start your second day in Aruba with an exhilarating jet ski ride at Palm Beach. Delphi Watersports offers jet ski rentals for couples who want to explore the coastline in an exciting way. If you’re not feeling Jet Skis, they also offer other fun activities like Parasailing!

Snorkeling at Arashi Beach and Tres Trapi Beach

After jet skiing, head to Arashi Beach, one of Aruba’s best snorkeling spots. The water here is clear, calm, and filled with colorful marine life.

Next, visit Tres Trapi Beach, a small cove where you can snorkel with tropical fish and even spot sea turtles. It’s a quieter alternative to some of Aruba’s busier beaches. Make sure to bring water shoes here if you plan on snorkeling around because the rock is extremely harsh on bare feet. This is definitely not a “lay out and relax on the sand” kind of beach, so we’d only recommend this one if you are planning on jumping in the water!

If you’d rather relax on the sand, check out Boca Catalina beach which is right around the corner from here! Make sure to know that if you want to use the chairs and umbrellas here, you’ll have to pay an additional fee. Lunch at Eduardos Hideaway

Known for its incredible açaí bowls, Eduardo’s Hideway serves up beautifully crafted smoothie bowls loaded with tropical fruits, granola, and superfoods—perfect for a post-beach pick-me-up. Beyond their signature bowls, the restaurant also specializes in Asian-fusion cuisine, offering vibrant dishes like poke bowls, Pad Thai (which was to die for) and much more, all inspired by global flavors.

Dinner: Azar Restaurant

Dining at Azar in Aruba is a must for honeymooners looking for a romantic yet vibrant culinary experience. This stylish restaurant blends Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Latin flavors, offering an eclectic menu filled with rich spices and bold flavors. The ambiance is equally inviting, with chic decor, intimate lighting, and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. Pair your meal with one of their signature cocktails or an excellent selection of wines for the perfect evening.

Day 3: Exploring Aruba’s Natural Wonders

Arikok National Park

Although Aruba is a Caribbean Island and you might think it’s all blue water and palm trees, it’s actually a very desert like climate, which you’ll notice when you start your drive over to its famous National Park! Book an Off Roading Tour and drive to Arikok National Park, a vast protected area covering nearly 20 percent of the island. Highlights include:

• Conchi Natural Pools – A hidden volcanic rock pool perfect for swimming. This is the only area on the North side of the island that is safe for swimming. Make sure to wear water shoes over here!
• Boca Prins Dunes – White sand dunes with panoramic coastal views.
• Quadirikiri Caves – Famous for their natural skylights and ancient petroglyphs. If you visit during the mid-afternoon on a sunny day, you’ll hopefully get to see the cool light beams coming through the ceiling!
• Dos Playa Beach – Probably our favorite stop (and least crowded one) along our Jeep Tour in Arikok National Park!

Pro Tip: If you prefer a guided tour, ISLA Aruba offers private Jeep excursions to avoid the crowds. Ask for Ross as your tour guide – he was ours and he was the best!

Sunset at Mangel Halto

After a day of adventure, unwind at Mangel Halto, one of Aruba’s most secluded beaches. This beach has beautiful mangroves that you can actually kayak through (if you still have energy and want to book a kayaking tour). The shallow, warm water makes it ideal for floating and watching the sun go down in peace.

There are some aesthetic staircases leading down into the ocean over here as well which make for some great photos!

Romantic Dinner at The Flying Fishbone

For a truly unique honeymoon dinner, The Flying Fishbone offers tables set directly in the water. Enjoy fresh seafood and a candlelit ambiance as the waves gently touch your feet.

You’ll definitely want to make reservations in advance, as this is one of Aruba’s most sought-after dining experiences.

Day 4: Scuba Diving and Relaxation

Aruba is home to some of the best wreck diving in the Caribbean. We explored:

• Topaz Wreck – A deep dive site for advanced divers.
• Mangel Halto Outer Reef – A coral reef filled with tropical marine life.

For a top-notch experience, book with JADS Dive Center, known for its small-group dives and personalized service. Now, if you’re not scuba certified, we’d recommend heading out on a snorkeling tour or catamaran tour to get out on the water and enjoy another way!

Relax at Baby Beach

After diving, head to Baby Beach, a shallow lagoon with crystal-clear water perfect for floating and unwinding. It’s a quiet spot that offers a relaxing break from the more popular beaches. There are some palapas available for shade as well as a restaurant if you want to grab a bite to eat while relaxing!

Dinner at Lima Bistro

End the evening with dinner at Lima Bistro, a highly-rated Peruvian restaurant known for its fresh seafood and cozy atmosphere.

Day 5: Brunch and Saying Goodbye

California Lighthouse

Before leaving Aruba, visit the California Lighthouse for one last breathtaking view of the island. Located on the island’s westernmost point, this historic lighthouse offers panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding dunes. Visit for sunrise to take in your last morning at golden hour!

Brunch at Garden Fresh

For a healthy and refreshing brunch, Garden Fresh is a great choice. They offer smoothie bowls, cold-pressed juices, and fresh salads, making it the perfect spot for a light meal before heading to the airport.

Head to Queen Beatrix Airport

All good things must come to an end, and after five incredible days in Aruba, it was time to head to Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA). If you find yourself with some extra time before your flight, Wineport is the perfect spot to relax. This spot was recommended to us by some locals and we loved it.

This cozy airport lounge offers a laid-back atmosphere, plenty of outlets to charge your devices, and a well-curated selection of wines and cheeses to enjoy while reminiscing about your honeymoon adventures. It’s a classy way to savor your last moments in paradise before heading home—because let’s be real, airport food courts just don’t cut it after a trip this dreamy.
