It’s important to visit each venue in person to get a better sense of what the space looks like, feels like, and what kind of experience it can provide. Here are some things you should do when visiting potential wedding venues:
- Take Notes: Bring a notebook and pen to take notes during your visit. Write down any questions you have, as well as important details, such as pricing, capacity, and amenities.

- Ask Questions: Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the venue, including details about their packages, availability, and any restrictions or requirements they may have. You may also want to ask about additional services they offer, such as catering or event planning.
- Visualize Your Wedding: As you walk through the venue, try to visualize your wedding day. Think about where you would set up the ceremony and reception, how you would decorate the space, and how your guests would move throughout the venue.
- Talk to the Staff: Take the time to talk to the staff, including the venue coordinator or sales representative. They can provide valuable insight and answer any questions you have about the venue.
Questions to Ask Your Potential Venue
