Over the past five years, we’ve been incredibly lucky to visit more than 40 countries and half the U.S. states together. Along the way, one question keeps popping up: Where should we go for our honeymoon? It’s one of our favorite questions to answer, because the perfect honeymoon isn’t just about the destination, it’s about the experience, the vibe, and the memories you’ll carry with you forever.
Whether you’re dreaming of sunset views from an overwater bungalow, hiking to jaw-dropping mountain peaks, or floating through crystal-clear cenotes, we’ve got you covered. This list is packed with our absolute favorite honeymoon destinations, complete with when to go, what to do, and why each spot stole our hearts.

1. Cancun, Mexico
Budget-Friendly | Best Time: May–July
Cancun was our very own mini-moon destination, and it’s still one of our top picks for couples. Think turquoise waters, soft sandy beaches, and dreamy all-inclusives. We stayed at Secrets The Vine, and it hit every mark, from stunning ocean views to impeccable service.

From the popular shores of Punta Cana to the cultural charm of Cabarete and Samaná, the Dominican Republic offers something for every kind of honeymooner. In our opinion, the Dominican Republic is such an underrated destination! We highly recommend venturing off the beaten path to the north coast during your visit.

Mid-Range | Best Time: March–May
The Florida Keys are an unexpected honeymoon gem. It’s like the Caribbean without the passport. Drive from Miami to Key West and stop along the way for snorkeling, sunsets, and amazing seafood.
